The annual interschool against Kings High school was played on March 13th and 14th at Burwood Park. Unfortunately, on the 1st day no play was possible due to rain. Instead the boys went and supported the Touch and Water Polo team who were also playing in the exchange. A visit to the eastern canopy for a run around also helped the boys “let off some steam”. However the Tuesday was a beautiful Christchurch days and the games got underway on time. It proved to hbe a highly successful day for the Shirley Boys' teams with both the 1st XI and the Junior XI managing to win two low scoring but competitive games.

Junior XI 122/10 off 36 overs [ Anaru Gibbs 34, Jamie Newitt- Isaks 29] beat Kings HS 108/10 off 30 overs [ Awa Noble-Gawn 4/18, Michael Johnston 2/25]
