Following an earlier visit where our boys were voted the best audience ever, we were again invited to be part of the studio audience for the Adam & Eve Show.

Boys from the 15A rugby team were accompanied by their coaches Mr Alan Strong and Mr Gwylim Richards and Rugby Administrator Mr John Fox to the Whitebait TV studios in Riccarton.

Again two shows were taped, the first involving a lucky contestant who travelled home with lots of prizes identified from the conveyer belt. The second show involved Crusader halfback Andy Ellis who entertained all with stories from his past, including his experience of playing prop at Under-58kg level!

The show concluded with Andy and Adam dressing in sumo suits and contesting a three round battle with the boys surrounding them to cheer them on……and to help them back to their feet when they got knocked over.

Another enjoyable outing, which gave the boys some insights into the making of a television show. A special treat for Siaki Taleni whose aunt and cousin are part of the production crew, and for Ben Strong who is about to embark on a career as a “cable boy” for Sky TV.
