Polyfest
The annual Polyfest event was held on Saturday 13th March 2021
What a fantastic performance by our boys. You did our school proud!
Massive congratulations to the Year 13s who have done five years of Polyfest and shown a lot of leadership within the group.
A huge thanks to all the old boys and families who have supported the boys on their journey and to all the staff members involved.
My first Polyfest
By Micaiah Tuli - Year 9
The lead up to the performance was exciting but my heart began to pound as the day approached.
Polyfest on the day was fun and exciting, as we arrived at 8.00am.
The stalls were filled with so many options of types of food, and as we had some time to relax before our 1.00pm performance time. It was great to be able to walk around and try some.
Leading up to walking onto the stage, I didn't really feel nervous, but more excited than I thought. The brotherhood of the group, with everyone in the group, is filled with love and passion. Performing was so much fun and I honestly can't wait till next year.
It was definitely a great experience celebrating my Pasifika culture. The tutors and all of the old boys that come through helped make us feel like we are a part of a very special family.
Many thanks to all the staff who helped by making us breakfast after the 7.00am practices, giving up their time to tutor and supervise, and organising the uniform and costume that we wore on the day - Mr Pesefea, Miss Veatupu, Mr Taufua, Matua Hone, Mr Houghton, Miss Cook, Miss Miura, Miss Richards.
Special thanks to the staff and families that came to watch and support us on the day and at our fa’aliga night.
