Shirley Boys’ High School is currently recruiting homestay families for International Students arriving in Term 3.

We are looking for hosts for the folowing dates:-

1) Short term Japanese group arriving on July 27th and departing on August 15th.
Double placement possible.
This group is made up of 17 girls and 3 boys. This ideal for SBHS students studying Japanese.
2) Term 3 placement, approx 8 weeks , Japanese, Single Placement, 3 boys
3) Term 3 term placement, 10 weeks trial may stay to stay on until end of year. 2 boys, Japanese, Single placement
May return in 2024. First host is not committed to continue to host after the first 10 weeks.

We are looking for caring host families who are prepared to care for and parent the students as they would like their own children to be cared for.
Homestay payment for short term group is $300 per week per student. There is the expectation that the students will be taken out on weekends and helped to get to and from school while here. The longer term programme is $290 per week. both programmes include 3 meals a day, unlimited wifi and laundry. Longer term students must have their own room with a desk for study.
