This course is available for Year 9 students in 2026

Course Description: This course introduces the subject of Drama as studied at secondary school level. It helps develop literacy, communication, and collaboration skills through games, devising, and script writing. Students will also have the opportunity to engage with drama technologies such as lighting and mask. Group work is a key part of the course and students will be expected to be able to comfortably share ideas with others.

Drama is offered in all years and can be taken in every NCEA Level. Although they may perform in class, students are not required to perform in front of an audience.
