Last Friday, a junior and senior team from SBHS headed down to Oamaru for the SISS Canoe Polo champs, coached by Ben Robinson (juniors) and Kelly Hansen (seniors).

Both teams went through the round robin on Friday and Saturday unbeaten. Unfortunately the juniors couldn't continue their momentum on Sunday and narrowly lost their semi to a Christchurch Combined Schools team 5-4. By now illness was getting the better of one of the players and a lack of subs was catching up with them. In their final game, they were beaten to a bronze medal by a combined team from STAC/Hillmorten/Te Aratai and ended up fourth.

Hot favourites, the seniors dominated over Cashmere in the semi, and put an absolute master class in the final against defending champions Middleton, winning the gold medal 7-1.

Four of the boys were selected in the Tournament team - Reuben Brown, Bowen Abraham, Eli Robertson, and Tom Bishop.
