Settling in on Ōrua Paeroa Campus

Blake Wells —

Last week was the first week for Shirley Boys' High School on our new campus.

The week started with the Pōwhiri in the main theatre, where we were welcomed onto the new campus.

On Wednesday, we welcomed the Senior Students (Y11-Y13) onto the new campus. They were taken on a tour of the school by their form class tutors to become familiar with their new surroundings.

On Thursday, we welcomed the Junior Students (Y9 & Y10) onto the new campus. They also went on a tour of the new school and were shown where their classes are.

On Friday, school started for all year levels. The students had their first classes in the morning before the first ever school assembly on the new campus.

Looking forward to seeing all our students on Monday for their first full week of learning on our new campus Ōrua Paeroa. Remember to be here nice and early to allow yourself some time to find your way around, we know it’s early days and some of you will still need to refer to your maps or ask for assistance.
