SOUND AND LIGHTING

Interested in what happens behind the scenes in the theatre? Enjoy being part of a performance but don’t want to be in front of the lights?

Lighting and Sound is a small group of dedicated students. They facilitate all the school productions and assemblies. The skills they develop include lighting design, sound and visual effects.

RADIO BROADCASTING

A new activity for 2016, the Radio Broadcasting club will be set up alongside sound and lighting in the hall to give students the opportunity to develop their broadcasting skills. The goal is to broadcast music throughout the school at lunchtimes and other events and will include an opportunity to develop your turntable skills. Get scratching!

VIDEO BROADCASTING

Set up to produce various items about school life at Shirley Boys’ High School. In 2015 this group has produced a number of video magazines.
