No.18 Squadron, a member of The New Zealand Cadet forces is currently recruiting for year 8 & 9 boys and girls to join our unit. We parade on a Tuesday evening at the Wigram Airbase. We are part of the oldest youth organisation in New Zealand and provide training in flying, shooting, bushcraft and provide a perfect opportunity for youth to experience what life would be like in the New Zealand Defence Force. Urban Certified Rider

With the warm weather definitely here (YAY!), it opens up opportunities for students to begin using alternate methods for the commute to school. Scooters are becoming more and more popular amongst New Zealand youth, and it is vital they learn the skills necessary to survive the ride.

Scooter Survival Course

2 Drive Safe are urging schools in the Canterbury area to encourage their students who ride scooters to attend a Scooter Survival course. The Scooter Survival course takes four hours and covers the crucial skills you need to stay safe when riding. It is purpose-designed for scooter riders, concentrating on urban riding and commuting - and only costs $20! The next course dates are below.
