Drama (Drx - Half year)

Course Description: This course introduces the subject of Drama as studied at secondary school level. It helps develop literacy skills through activity, games, devising, script writing and appreciation, as well as builds confidence and speaking. Students who need to develop self confidence speaking in front of a group are encouraged to take this course.

Drama is offered in all years and can be taken in every NCEA Level. Such forms as Comedy, Melodrama, Mime and Theatresports are briefly explored in Year 9. Although they may perform in class, students are not required to perform in front of an audience.
