This year we have introduced the Gold Standard to support the teaching and learning in the classroom and around the school.

In Monday 22nd February, we held a special assembly for our students and staff to reflect on the ten year anniversary of the Christchurch Earthquake.

In 2021, Shirley Boys’ High School opted into the Ministry of Education donation scheme.

You can use your Cando card just like a Metrocard on any Metro bus or ferry service in Greater Christchurch, including school buses.

Our School’s Policies and Procedures are managed online by SchoolDocs. They are maintained and updated regularly to make sure they comply with the Ministry of Education requirements and follow the Ministry best-practice guidelines.

On Friday 5th February students spent the afternoon team building in their houses, through a number of different tabloid activities.

Shirley Boys' High School students will achieve personal growth an success through sport and physical activity.

This year the 1st XI and Junior XI travelled to Invercargill to play Southland Boys in their annual interschool games.

The annual year 9 and 10 Hockey Development, end of season trip took place the last weekend of November. The aim of the tour is to develop the hockey skills of our year 9 and 10 hockey players for the future of Shirley Hockey.
