On Friday 21st June, year 11-13 French students from all around Canterbury attended a day of NCEA workshops at the University of Canterbury.

On Wednesday 5th June at Brooker Reserve, there was a great example of tuakana- teina in action.

Last year, we identified teacher capability in Te Reo Māori as a key area for development.

This year we had four speakers compete at the regional Ngā Manu Kōrero Māori Speech Competition which was held last Friday at Lincoln University.

Earlier in the year, SBHS and AGHS started collaborating to ensure that our Pasifika community were welcomed onto the new campus in a way that linked us to culture, language and traditions in the Pacific.

Our annual Sports Exchange with Marlborough Boys College was held in Blenheim on the 20th and 21st of May.

SBHS Futsal Coach Tom Davies and Headmaster John Laurenson agreed that the Mosque tragedies of the 15th March should be marked by SBHS.

The first SBHS Nude Lunch Form class competition was a great success, with many classes getting behind the concept of not using single use plastic in their lunches.
