The two swimming pools are open and family keys can be hired from Friday 8 November at the Shirley Intermediate school office.

 There are obvious safety and management concerns around the running of a school pool so it is helpful that the wider community cooperates to look after these resources. By hiring a pool key you can give your family access to the great facility, and you can assist by reporting any concerns to the school. Pool keys are $70 for the summer season (to end March?) which includes a refundable $10 when the key is returned. Key hire is open to families of children from Shirley Intermediate School, Shirley Primary and Banks Avenue School. These families need to come to the school office with proof of their child’s attendance at SP or Banks Ave. “Proof” could be as simple as:

- your child in his/her school uniform,

- an invoice from the school (together with photo proof of identification).

- A note from the school confirming your child’s enrolment (together with photo proof of identification)
