One of our Shotover teams came 1st place in their age group at Top Bike Competition during Term 2. They were awarded certificates and a fantastic prize from Cycling Southland.

Team Zap was made up of the following Shotover Students: Hadyn Carter, Liv Carter, Quinn Ravenwood, Tom Rannard, Rilee Young, Tara Strydom

The Prize from Cycle Southland was for a free track session at the Velodrome in Invercargill including private coaching, bikes were provided.

Most of the team got together on the 13th August and made the trip to New Zealand's Southern most city and visited the Velodrome. Much to the delight of the students the parents got to have a go too and they even had a race! 

Well done Team Zap, it looks like you had an awesome time at the velodrome......you just just got a taste of what it's like for our amazing Olympic NZ cycling team!
