Top Bike 2024

Anna Browne —

Top Bike is about having fun and working together as a team across 3 biking events. Riders are tested on speed, consistency and technical ability.

A message from Jo Knight at Sports Central, who hosted Top Bike along with Cycling Southland:

"Thanks for bringing your teams to Top Bike last Wednesday. I'm sure you'll agree it was a great day, and there were lots of happy tamariki who left feeling inspired to get out on their bikes!

The winners of the Year 5 & 6 category were the Shotover Primary School Warriors. The year 7 & 8 title went to Mt Aspiring team #3.

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Marc and the team from Cycling Southland for coming up to Alexandra for the day and helping to organise a fantastic event.

I have some lost property- a down/puffa jacket, black track pants, a navy jacket and a lunch box with banana chips in it. Please let me know if any of it belongs to your students and I'll get it back to you asap. "

Top Bike Teams:

1st Place Year 5/6 grade: Y5/6 SPS Warriors Oliver Patterson, Braxton Evans, Franco Chapman-Olla, Ava Baker, Cara Williams, Kaiyah Ritani
