There has been lots of sports over the last few weeks. Check out what we have been up to and what is coming up!

We've had a number of sporting events over the last few weeks. Ranging from competitions at school to compete against other schools in Otago.

School Skiing

This week was our last for school skiing this year. The students have displayed enormous growth mindset by challenging themselves to become better. We've been impressed how they consistently show our school values to the parent helpers and instructors. Congratulations to the level 1 skiers who had never skied before. Over the last 5 sessions, they have gone from skiing on the small magic carpet and have now progressed to all lifts such a curvy and sugar bowl. You can clearly see how embedded our school value of growth mindset is with our students when they push themselves through challenges like this.

Cross country

It was wonderful to see how our students supported everyone who competed in the cross country. This led to a number of our students taking it to the next level and competing at central and Otago cross country at Arrowtown and Dunedin. Did you know that Mrs Clark, Miss Forne and Mrs Liddy have been running cross training at lunchtimes? We had 28 students compete at central Otago with year 8 boys taking 3rd overall and a large number of students finishing in the top 10. Each year we are seeing our students getting more confident and stronger at these events.
