FIONA BRACKEN

Kia ora tātou. My name is Fiona (Fi for short) and I am ecstatic to be part of the Shotover Teaching Team. I come from Ireland where I have a number of years' teaching experience, but the collaborative learning environment at SPS is a new and exciting journey for me. Family values are inbred in me and this extends out to the importance I place on positive relationships.

I have been living in Queenstown for over 12 years, working mainly in the hospitality industry. I love to live life to the fullest, embracing every opportunity to learn and grow. My passions include music, drama and the outdoors. I enjoy performing in local stage productions, and singing with the band ‘Versificator’. You will see me walking and biking in summer, and up on the ski fields in winter.

I am sincerely looking forward to collaboratively creating a learning environment in Skippers that is based on trust, value and respect. I will be building learning focused relationships with children, their whanau, my colleagues and the community so that children can become the best lifelong learners that they can be.
