Dear Parents/Caregivers,

On the morning of Tuesday 19th February (postponement date is Thursday 21st February), we will be holding our annual ‘Shotover Primary School Triathlon for all Year 5 - 8 students at the Queenstown Events Centre.

This event is an opportunity for all students to participate and demonstrate our Shotover school values, either as an individual or as part of a team. There will be an opportunity for children to compete competitively at the beginning of the day in an attempt to qualify for the Wakatipu Zone Triathlon Champs (Tuesday 12 March), but also to join a team for our SPS Values Teams event on the day. The three different parts of the day are explained below.

1) Competitive Team (trialling for Wakatipu Zone Triathlon Champs)

Children wanting to qualify for a team to go to the Wakatipu Zone Triathlon Champs will trial for their area of discipline (run, bike or swim). Each discipline will be run separately to identify our strongest competitors. Please complete this google form if you would like your child to compete in the teams trials. N.B that children can not enter both the team trial and individual trials.

2) Individual competitors (trialling for Wakatipu Zone Triathlon Champs)

Children wanting to compete individually will complete the triathlon at the beginning of the day. Please complete this google form if you would like your child to compete in the individual event. N.B that children can not enter both the team trial and individual trials. Depending on the results and numbers an individual may be placed into a team for the Wakatipu Zone triathlon.
