Industry Speed Networking - Meet the Dunedin SHIFT Cohort

Lauren Saker —

Join us for your chance to meet the 2020 Dunedin SHIFT Cohort, Friday 21 August, 2pm-4pm with networking after, and see if you might be keen to host one of our talented students for a 200-hour industry project.

Do you have an idea for your business or organisation, but have had to park it? Could it be the start of a productive line of work? Perhaps a research, development, testing or user experience design project that will potentially add to your bottom line?

Don't miss your chance to meet the diverse and talented SIGNAL Dunedin 2020 cohort on Friday 21 August 2pm - 4pm, and see if there is a match to host one of our students for a 200-hour industry project.

SHIFT internships can bring fresh ideas and energy to your existing or new business projects. Pairing a SHIFT student with an industry-based project gives the student over 200 hours of real-world tech experience, whilst adding value to your business or organisation.

Students might focus upon projects in the fields of business analysis, software and product testing, software development, web development, mobile app development, user experience, technical writing and project management, or their previous skillset might match some other projects you have in mind.   The sky is the limit with such a talented bunch of students!

In preparation for his 200-hour industry placement, Mark Cousins interviews with local industry experts during SHIFT's Dunedin 2019 Speed Networking event. Mark is now employed full-time as an IT Technician.

Businesses have always been impressed with the quality and wide-ranging skills our students can bring to the table. They gain value from having prototyping or projects completed,  and their whole organisation can benefit from the energy, fresh ideas and excitement these students bring.  SIGNAL Industry Speed Networking events are one way we continue to build strong connections and networks between students and the tech industry. Come along and meet our students, get to know them and tell them about your organisation and the exciting work you do!
