Speed Networking - Meet the Chch Cohort

Lenore Wright —

After the success and positive outcomes from our previous Speed Networking event that match Industry Projects to students, SIGNAL is hosting another one.

Industry Projects are completed part-time in the second semester of the SHIFT programme. We pair a SHIFT student with a company-based project which gives the student real-world tech experience over 200 hours, whilst adding value to your business.

Our Speed Networking event is a great opportunity to meet the diverse and dedicated career changing SHIFT cohort, and to see if there is a potential fit with your organisation and project goals.

SIGNAL is focused on building stronger connections and networks. This in turn leads to a sense of community and camaraderie, which leads to a stronger working relationships in the long-term.  A win/win all round!

New Zealand is a diverse country, and the latest SHIFT cohort reflect this, from the variety of degree types and career backgrounds, to country of origin.

  • Master of Finance
  • Honours degree in Drama
  • Psychology
  • Master of Construction
  • Project Management
  • Electrical Engineer
  • Neuro Science
  • Commerce and Strategy

The SHIFT cohort have heritage from:

  • Indonesia
  • New Zealand
  • Nigeria
  • Romania
  • UK
  • Vietnam

If your organisation could benefit from an extra set of hands to start, continue, or finish a project then come along and meet our students.  Get to know them and tell them about your organisation and the exciting work you do.

The next 'Speed Networking’ event will be held on Tuesday 11 June, 2.30pm - 4pm.  If your organisation is interested in participating or would like more info, please contact Lenore on 027 563 9836 or chch@signal.ac.nz
