Last week Silverdale Normal School had book week, where books and their characters and stories were a key focus. Mr Harrop made his way around the classrooms reading to many of the students; teachers swapped classes to read their favourite stories.

A range of activities were carried out across the school including, making book character costumes, book marks, dioramas; plus acting out favourite scenes and characters. Words, characters and stories engulfed the imaginations of many students. What a great week, which also showcased our values of mahi tahi and whanaungatanga, across the school.
