Classroom Item - Room 9

Priscilla Thatcher —

This term, we are lucky to have had Weston, a student from the 'Waikato University Scientists in Schools programme', working with us in Rooms 8 and 9. We have been exploring the big idea of “how does natural and human activity shape our environment?”

Weston has been helping us to understand more about the land around us, what it is made from, how it is made and how it changes over time. We have learnt a lot about volcanoes, tectonic plates, rocks and minerals. He brings in some really interesting things for us to look at and talk about.
