Room 17 wove te reo Māori into loads of learning!

Last week during Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori, Room 17 learnt the phrase “He aha tenei?” (What is this?) we created picture books and then read them to our tuakana-teina class. We also created board games that tested some basic Māori language to play with each other. This included words for animals, colours and shapes! 

We had a great time and not only learnt more te reo Māori, we used collaboration, problem solving, literacy and mathematical skills!
