Community Meeting - Monday, 17th May at 5.30pm in Room 12. Sharing our newly written school haka!

Priscilla Thatcher —

On Monday, 17th May, we will be hosting a community hui here at school. The purpose will be to hear from Tawhiri Gilbert. Tawhiri has been working with our school this year to learn about us, who we are and what makes us so awesome.

He is supporting us to develop our school tikanga and practices - helping us meet the needs of our community and the New Zealand Curriculum. As part of this process he has written a haka for us - unique to our school, telling our story.
On Monday night he will share a bit about the importance of haka and waiata etc in a school setting and then perform our new haka.
The meeting will be held in Room 12 from 5.30pm for approximately 30 minutes. We will have the adjoining classroom (Room 13) open for children to be in, watching a movie, if you need child care to attend the meeting.
It would be great to see you there!
