Matariki
On the last Wednesday of last term the junior school children all participated in a special Matariki activity day.
We started the day with an assembly and each class sang a waiata. This was followed by the learners rotating around four different activities. These were: rakau stick games, string games, kite making and a Matariki night sky art composition. The children really enjoyed working in mixed class groups. After lunch we finished the day by enjoying some shared kai that each of the classes had prepared.
A big thank you to Whaea Kim for organising the day and to all our caregivers who came along to join in the fun.
