At Silverdale Normal School, Tuakana Teina time is an important part of our curriculum where our older tamariki learn to be leaders, role models and teachers, and our younger tamariki get one on one learning experiences.

Last week Room 14 tamariki were helping Room 5 students develop their hand eye coordination through throwing and catching a large ball. This time is always really special as it also supports the development of two of our principles at Silverdale ako (learning) along side whanaungatanga (belonging).
