This week we are combining the beginning of the Fifa world cup with the cultural celebrations week at Silverdale Normal School.

Tamariki will compete in a football tournament where students make their team of 5, sign up to represent a country, and wear the colours of that country’s team.

The nations participating include Brazil, New Zealand, Denmark, Portugal, England, Canada, Italy, Germany and France.

The games will last for 10 minutes and enter penalty shootouts. The finals will be held this Friday.
