On Friday, 2nd September we held our school Cross Country. It was fantastic to be able to have our community back in the school to support our runners after several years of restrictions.

It was very noticeable how fit our children have become especially after the last five weeks of training. They showed great perseverance to complete the required distance. A lot of great sportsmanship was displayed with children supporting each other, both while out competing and when supporting their school friends. This really contributed to the sense of whanaungatanga in our school. It also allowed our Year 6 children to display leadership skills while supporting our Year 1 and 2 runners through encouragement and guidance. We look forward to our fun run on the last Thursday or the Term.
