Sarah Walker is an Olympic Silver medalist and multiple world champion BMX bike rider.

On Monday, 23rd November Silverdale Senior school was fortunate enough to have Sarah Walker visit us. She shared her journey into BMX riding and what inspires her to keep riding.

Sarah's main message was that failure is not something to be scared of; that when we fail we are simply trying our best as we can not learn without failure. She shared how she uses self talk to develop self belief. She talked about the importance of a 'can do' attitude towards learning and that if we believe we can make it, then we will.

Sarah also allowed every child to hold her Olympic Silver Medal and took the time to answer all the interesting questions that the children had.

Sarah, we wish you all the best for the upcoming Olympics in 2021 and we hope you come back to visit our school with your gold medal!!
