Middle School Trip to Rotorua
The middle school had a fabulous day out in Rotorua on Thursday 7th of September. The students travelled by bus, excitedly pointing out all of the landmarks/landforms and places they had learned with Miss Woolston on the way.
We arrived at the Buried Village and visited the museum, listened to our guide to learn some history and then walked around exploring the preserved area. We also got to walk down to a waterfall and look out towards Mount Tarawera.
Then it was a history korero with Whaea Sivina to learn more about the history and hear some more stories of the area.
We travelled to Kuirau park where we participated in a scavenger hunt and saw the bubbling mud and water first hand. Rotorua's whenua is truly amazing and it was exciting to see the learning from the term come alive for our tamariki!
We were so proud to see our school values in the words and actions of our students. Thank you to all of the adult helpers that came along to help!
