Scanning in - our new routine

Michael Harrop —

Thanks to our community for supporting our efforts in contact tracing.

Signing in is just the new and accepted normal at most places we go these days. School is no different. In the event that we are contacted by the Ministry of Health for contact tracing - we need to be able to contact every person who has entered Silverdale Normal School in the past month or so.

There are two ways to register your visit at school.

1. Sign in at the gate - there should be a sign in register by all entry points to the school while the gates are open. If you can't see it there (they have been put away during our rainy days lately) - please report to the office and sign in there.

2. Scan the NZ COVID Tracer App QR Code at the gate. This is by far the quickest and easiest way to sign in.

If you're going to be at school for a longer period of time - i.e. longer than just a quick drop off to class - please sign in at the gate AND at the school office. This is for health and safety procedures and will mean you are registered as on site if we happen to have an emergency such as a fire evacuation.

Thanks again for your support Silverdale whānau!
