On Monday, all of our Year 6 students were fortunate enough to take part in a leadership training session. This was facilitated by the Waikato Institute for Leadership and Sport Studies.

They learnt what it means to be a good leader and took part in games and activities that encouraged them to model these skills. Skills such as honesty, being a good listener, being courageous, helping, caring, being inclusive and the importance of first leading themselves.

We all look forward to our year 6 students being able to apply these skills throughout the year as they lead games and activities at lunchtime for the rest of the school.
