Whānau Hui invitation - NEW DATE

Michael Harrop —

NEW DATE - WEDNESDAY 8 JUNE. 3.30 - 4.40pm. An open opportunity to share your views on continuing the growth of our Māori learners.

As outlined in our school strategy document, Silverdale Normal School aspires to meet the needs of ALL students. We desire to help every child in our school reach their potential, recognise that they are important and by developing a strong sense of self, find strength in their identity.

As partners to Te Tiriti o Waitangi we value the important role and voice of tangata whenua and our Māori community members in the ongoing growth of our school. To hear directly from you, we would like to start a conversation around your hopes and aspirations for a school that is meeting the needs of our Māori children.

We will be running a Whānau Hui on Wednesday, 8 June beginning at 3.30pm in Room 13 here at school.

At the hui we hope to hear from our Māori families to see how we are doing in giving our children opportunities to develop in their identity as Māori and use your thinking to make sure we are all working together for the success of all.

Please feel free to come along and join the kōrero - we would love to see you there.
