This year our senior students (starting with Rm 14 and Rm 17) are taking part in Taku Wairua - a programme supporting learners to develop skills that will set them up for success.

The ‘Taku Wairua’ programme is based on four themes - belonging, self discovery, goal setting and citizenship. Taku Wairua aligns strongly with our school's values and principles and will help our learners grow in confidence, connectedness and leadership.

In session 1 Laghlan McWhannell from the Waikato Chiefs came and spoke to our students around setting goals and how he found success even through failure. At the end of the programme the student go offsite and complete a project to give back to the community and make a positive difference.
