The Amazing Race Reaches Hamilton Gardens

Brent Taylor —

On Wednesday sixteen of our school leaders attended the annual Student Amazing Race at the Hamilton Gardens.

Tasked with map reading and completing a range of challenges stationed around the gardens, teams gained points for their ability to finish tasks. However, the main points were scored through demonstrating teamwork.  The children did an awesome job at representing Silverdale with their amazing collaboration and great manners. The favourite challenges of the day involved water and getting wet, while some of the trickier brain teasers were quite frustrating. However, great team work skills were further developed and their leadership grew through this experience. We even managed to catch up with many of our Silverdale whānau who have moved on to other schools.
