PTG News

Priscilla Thatcher —

Check out our new and upcoming fundraisers below

  • Honeywrap Beeswax Wraps fundraiser - This is a new fundraiser we are running for May. See the separate article about this. A huge thanks to Maddison, Beth, Chloe, Gabby, Mela, Jacob and Olive who have been our advertising team, writing the articles and creating videos. Orders in by Friday, 28th May please. You can order online at https://forms.gle/5gHJG9pWQDhMBszV8, or bring in the paper order form and payment to the PTG box in the office.

  • Oxford Pies - Our yearly pie fundraiser is coming up in June. Keep an eye out for the order forms in a couple of weeks.

  • SchoolPickUp - This is a new way for us to fundraise. It's an online shopping platform, where 50% of profits come back to the school. There are heaps of items for sale on here, so check it out. https://www.schoolpickup.nz/pages/silverdale-normal-school

  • Junior Play Equipment - Check out the new boxes and planks outside Room 3. These were bought by the PTG thanks to all your support of our fundraising ventures.

  • Coming up - Pyjama Day - June 21. We would love pyjama donations on this day, so keep an eye out for specials on pyjamas at the warehouse. All donations go to WaiKids at the hospital, which are hugely appreciated.

  • PTG Meeting: Thursday 13th May, 7.00pm, school staff room. All welcome. We’d love to have you join us!

  • Can you help? We really need a few parents who are available to help occasionally during the day. For example, on the last day of term for end of term lunch, or when we are sorting pies, etc. If you might be able to help, please let us know - email ptg@silverdale.school.nz.

The Parent Teacher Group (PTG) is a group of parents and teachers that work to create fun events for the kids and fundraise for the school. We always welcome new members - we’d love to see some new faces at our meetings. If you can’t commit to meetings but would like to help out at events, please let us know. We especially need parents that can help out during the day occasionally.
