Recently the Junior School had a visit from Ruben the Road safety Bear. This was an opportunity to reinforce the learning that has been done earlier this term around road safety.

The children really enjoyed sharing what they had learnt with Ruben and his friend and singing the Road Safety song together. Some children were invited to demonstrate how to cross the road safely with Ruben and to share their knowledge about how to be safe when riding a bike and when approaching a “sneaky driveway”. They enjoyed helping Ruben by holding road signs and helping him cross the road safely.

At the end of the visit the children were each given a Ruben the Road Safety Bear activity book and pencil so that they could use their road safety knowledge to complete the activities in the book.
