Grandparents Day
Our school was full to the brim with arohanui on Tuesday the 30th of May, with the largest group of visiting grandparents we have ever had.
What an incredible turnout! Starting with an assembly, our learners shared their feelings about having such valued guests and welcomed them into our school. They enthusiastically performed, singing and dancing, and then spoke about their memories of these special people in their lives. It was heartwarming to see mokopuna sharing their classrooms, learning and school with their grandparents.
Whanau made a point of coming to see us after the assembly and classroom visits to tell us about how much they enjoyed the day.
Honest feedback received:- What amazing kids!- You can really feel respect at this school- The staff are so kind here- I felt so special to be invited in today- This is a great school and you should be very proud of your staff and students- That assembly was outstanding - are the kids always that good?- Please thank your team for the way they care for my grandson- I wish school felt like this when I was a kid- There is so much amazing learning going on here- Thanks for allowing me time to come and be in the classroom- I felt very special today
We can't wait to build on Grandparents Day for next year!
