Classroom Item - Room 16

Priscilla Thatcher —

Room 16 has had some fun with words, creating a range of poetry pieces about themselves and emotions. Here are some examples:

Sad By Evelyn

I stare at the confused, surprised and upset faces around.

I can hear subtle voices, screaming at the people who try to calm me.

I stomp around the room, almost crushing small kids.

Felt like I was about to explode!

Glancing at myself in the mirror is a face Scarlett.

Simile poem by Varriah

Eyes blurry as a snake,

Nose small as a bug

Brain, smart as a scientist

Hair thick as a bear

Kind as a cat

Happy as a dog

Metaphor Poem by Ranen

Ranen

Is a squirrel smart and cool

Is a ferrari fast and furious

Is a rose, sharp and tough

Is a curry, everything at once

Is a phone, fast and smart

Is an ohio rat, swift and sneaky.
