The Middle School has had lots of fun exploring and finding out about living beings and what they need to survive and thrive.

This morning we held our first Senior School Triathlon for a long time.

Our school has been fortunate enough to be the receivers of a donation of 12 ukuleles from the NZ Ukelele Trust's "Ukes in Schools Ukadelic Ukuleles" programme this year!

Izzy in Room 15 returned to school this week after attending the Marching New Zealand Championships in Dunedin. Forty-nine marching groups of various ages from around the country gathered at Dunedin’s Edgar Centre to put their routines to the test. After days of close competition, the Marching New Zealand Championships ended in a dramatic three-way tie.

For boys and girls wanting to play in the futureFERNS netball league, there are a few spaces left for players in teams for the Junior and Middle year groups.

Prizes will be allocated in the order they are drawn this Friday night at our Disco. Additional ticket sheets are still available from the School Office or by emailing ptg@silverdale.school.nz. Please return all tickets and money to the School Office PTG box by Friday, 26th March.

The Parent Teacher Group (PTG) is a group of parents and teachers that work to create fun events for the kids and fundraise for the school.

We would like to remind you that ourschool runs a pre-school Jump Start programme on a Thursday afternoon from 1.45 to 2.45 pm in Room 3. This is available to all pre-school children and their parents for up to ten weeks before a child starts school.

Yummy sticker sheets for collecting cut-out labels and individual Yummy apple stickers for our school’s share of free sports gear, are available from the children’s counter at the School Office.

Can we we ask that you pack a spare set of clothes in your child’s bag if you are not already doing so.

Just a reminder that Daylight Saving ends at 3.00am on Sunday, 4th April 2021 when clocks are turned backward one hour to 2.00am.

Silverdale Normal School has Holiday Programme available which is run by YMCA.

We are excited to kick off Champions for 2021 this Friday. Champions is our Christian religious education programme run during Friday lunch times. Champions is run by a vibrant team of volunteers from our local community, teaching life values through engaging Bible stories and fun games.

Our school has 20 slots for the Tough Guy/Girl Challenge this year to be held on Wednesday, 23rd June at Ngaruawahia Christian Youth Camp.

Shama is running a Multicultural Children's Holiday Programme from 27th to 30th April at Melville Primary School, 101 Ohaupo Road, Melville, Hamilton. The cost of the programme is $15.00 per day or $60.00 for the 4 days

All Classes at Hillcrest Chapel on the corner of Masters Avenue and Morris Road. $5.00 a class.
