This morning all our Year 7 & 8's traveled down to Rangiora High school to spend the morning training with the Crusaders rugby team. The weather was beautiful and our students had lots of fun, enjoying a number of games and drills that were run by the Crusaders coaching staff. We also had a chance to see the Crusaders train up close which was very exciting for our aspiring young rugby players. The morning ended with a sausage sizzle and an autograph signing session with the players. It was a great opportunity for our students to rub shoulders with a number of All Blacks and crusaders who were outstanding role models on the day. Mr Malone was happy as he ran into Dominic Gardner who he coached back when Dominic was a skinny little 15 year old. As can be seen in the photo Dominic has certainly grown up and become a great example of what can be achieved with perseverance and hard work.
