New Student Orientation Session
To help this years' new students prepare for their first day of school - St Joseph's has an orientation session the week before school starts.
We hope that you will be able to join us for the new student orientation session.
It begins at 2pm on Thursday 31 January.
We will begin all together (parents and students) with some general information and a short practice for our Mihi Whakatau (welcoming ceremony), which will occur at 2.30pm on Monday 4 February).
Students will then spend some time getting to know their teachers... and the parents are invited to gather in the staffroom for afternoon tea and the opportunity to get to know each other.
We anticipate the entire process concluding around 3.30pm.
- The first day for every student is Monday 4 February.
- We hop you will be able to join us for the Mihi Whakatau at 2.30pm that day.
- The School Office will be open from Tuesday 29 January.
Please find at the bottom of this article a copy of the Transitions Book (some of you will have seen a hard copy of this). This is well worth a read cover to cover... and then come armed with any questions on the 31st.
