Pivot Wellbeing (Year 7 and 8)
As we have exited another lockdown we reflected on learning from home, surveyed parents and appreciated the feedback. Below is information regarding a tool we wish to use to help assist student wellbeing in the senior school and in turn their learning.
Pivot Wellbeing is an Australian based company that provides a wellbeing survey tool. Simply we survey students across 5 aspects once a week and this takes no more than 2 minutes. Every 5 weeks the teacher will receive a report that shares any dips in attitude they could assist your child with. Pivot will also send the teacher resources they can use.
We already survey our students once a year using the NZCER Wellbeing survey, the Pivot tool will be more accurate and we know that if a child is happy in their learning environment they a more likely to succeed. A letter will go home early next week with more information and a consent form, this form is due back on Friday 24th Sept to your classroom teacher. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to email peter@sjr.nz or call me at school. You can also watch a small Pivot video here: https://youtu.be/JaYfS01fmg8
Those who opt-out will not be asked to complete the survey. At the moment this is a free trial tool in term 4, 2021.
