Cultural Festival
Student report on our successful Cultural Festival plus heaps of photos
On Friday the 8th of March St Joseph's school, Villa Maria, Shirley Boys, New Life school, Rangiora Borough and Marian College were all involved in an event known as the Cultural Festival. There was food from different countries as well as cool games.
There was artwork painted by students from St Joes for sale, live entertainment such as; cultural dances, songs and performances from Kapa Haka and other groups.
There was ; Face painting, Lucky dip, A game called Gold rush where you had to drop a coin on a crunchie bar to get some chocolate. Also there was a great game called Bear Pong where you had to throw a ping pong ball and get it to land in a plastic cup. If you got at least two out of three balls in the cups you won a teddy bear!
There was also a Japanese photo booth where people would dress up as ninjas and wear Japanese robes and have a photo taken wearing the fancy costumes.
Everyone had a awesome time and the rain stopped and the weather ended up being great. It was a fabulous night!
