Academic English

Academic English ช่วยในการพัฒนาทักษะภาษาเพื่อเตรียมความพร้อมและเพิ่มโอกาสประสบความสำเร็จในการเรียนต่อในมหาวิทยาลัย   หลักสูตรมี  4 levels: EAP Intro, EAP1, EAP 2, EAP3 แต่ละเลเวลมีสองเซสชั่น 

• EAP Intro : Academic English (session 1) + IELTS or university study skills (session 2)
• EAP1: Academic English (session 1) + IELTS or university preparation skills (session 2)
• EAP 2: Academic English (session 1) + IELTS or university preparation skills (session 2)
• EAP3: Academic English (session 1) + IELTS or university preparation skills (session 2)

เพื่อจะพัฒนาผลคะแนน IELTS แนะนำให้ลงเรียน:

• Academic English (session 1) + IELTS (session 2)
• เสร็จแล้วสอบ IELTS test upon completion of the course at ELA's official IELTS Test Centre

เพื่อจะพัฒนาภาษาเพื่อเรียนต่อในมหาวิทยาลัย สามารถเลือกเรียน:

• Academic English (session 1) + university preparation skills (session 2)

หลังจากได้ระดับภาษาที่ต้องการแล้ว สามารถเลื่อนขึ้นไปเรียนหลักสูตร FCertEAP pathway course หรือใช้ผล IELTS ที่สอบได้รับตรงเข้าศึกษาต่อในมหาวิทยาลัยได้เลยหากได้ระดับภาษาตามที่กำหนด

University English Pathway  

เป็น Non-IELTS Pathway  ที่ดีไซน์มาเพื่อเตรียมความพร้อมในการเข้าไปในในมหาวิทยาลัย หลักสูตรพาร์ธเวย์จะสอนวิธีการจดเลคเช่อร์อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ  วิธีการเขียน academic report  การเขียน essay การเตรียมตัวสอบเมื่อเข้าไปเรียนมหาวิทยาลัยแล้ว  สกิลการพรีเซนต์งาน presentation skills และเทคนิคการสื่อสาร communication techniques โดย pathway qualifications  ของ ELA ได้รับการยอมรับทั้งจาก UoA และสถาบันอุดมศึกษาอื่นๆในนิวซีแลนด์  

UEP แบ่งออกเป็นสองระดับ

English Pathway for Undergraduate Studies (EPUS)

EPUS is ideal if you have met the academic requirements for undergraduate study at the University of Auckland, but have narrowly missed the English language requirements.

This pathway ensures you gain the English proficiency and academic literacy needed for undergraduate courses. Successfully completing the EPUS course with the required grade for your academic study programme will meet the English language requirements for entry to the University of Auckland.

Course length

10 weeks (an accelerated 7-week EPUS is available in November)

English Pathway for Postgraduate Studies (EPPS)

EPPS is suitable if you have met the academic requirements for postgraduate study at the University of Auckland, but have narrowly missed the English language requirements.

This pathway ensures you gain the English proficiency and academic literacy needed for postgraduate and doctoral courses. Successfully completing the EPPS course with the required grade for your academic study programme will meet the English language requirements for entry to the University of Auckland.

Course length

10 weeks (an accelerated 7-week EPPS is available in November, and the EPPS for Business Masters runs in June)

English for Engineering

The ELA is delighted to inform you of our specialised short course: English for Engineering.

This two-week online course (August 2 – August 13) is delivered in conjunction with the University of Auckland’s Faculty of Engineering and is ideal for learners of English who study Engineering at university.

During this course, students will develop their English skills for group project work, writing up reports of projects, and presenting the results of projects.

They will also have a special guest lecture from the Director of the Graduate School of Engineering – Dr Garry Miller, complete a virtual campus tour of the UoA Engineering facilities and join current UoA engineering students in an interactive forum.
