Cultural Day

Julie Bassett —

CRS exists to support people from refugee and migrant backgrounds living in Christchurch to settle successfully in New Zealand by providing a range of professional services that build on strengths to promote wellbeing and resilience.

Today we had Shirley from the CRS come and talk to the Year 6 children about the work they do with refugees in Christchurch. She said that the money raised today will go towards buying resources for children. Each week mothers come together at their service to learn English and the children play together. They were in desperate need of new resources and equipment for these children. It is great to see that our donation will make such a practical difference in our community. Thank you for your support.

The total collected for the Cultural Day dress up was $506.80 and it was donated to Christchurch Resettlement Services.
