Message from the Tumuaki

Denise Torrey —

He mihi mahana ki a koutou katoa - Warm greetings to all.

This week and last week our Year 6 tamariki represented our school at the Mihi Whakatau for the Middle Leader teachers here on a course.  They did us proud!

Congratulations to our Year 5 & 6's who had a very successful swimming sports on Friday at Wharenui Pool. We had a big group representing us at the zones on Friday. Thank you to Dave Harrison, the Year 5 & 6 teachers and all our great parent helpers.

We have a busy day on Friday.  A 20+ strong team off to the zones, Spaces 8 and 9 off to their Aotearoa Histories unit at the Opawaho River and Space 10 and 12 are climbing Te Tihi o Kahukura as part of their Aotearoa histories studies.

Next Tuesday 21 March we have the Waka Kōtahi and Waka Mōkihi Athletics starting at  11:15am and Waka Tētē and Kōpapa athletics on Wednesday 22 March.

Thanks for your ongoing support of our teachers and their efforts to ensure better working conditions, see the article put in by the teachers.
