Whanau Hui - Wednesday 19 August 6pm. ON HOLD update Saturday morning

Denise Torrey —

This messages is primarily for whanau of Kapahaka groups but others welcome.

Kia ora Somerfield whānau

Next Wednesday the 19th of August we have a whānau hui from 6pm till 7pm in our school hall. This will be a chance for our three kapa haka rōpū to present some of the items they have been working on. We would like to invite you and your whānau to come along to support them! This will be a great opportunity to get our tamariki performing again as a few of our regular performances had to be cancelled this year.

After the waiata there will be a sausage sizzle for our tamariki and a cup of tea for whanau so feel free to stay around for a while afterwards and enjoy some kai and whanaungatanga.

Due to not having enough uniforms for all the Year 1 and 2 children and the year 5 and 6 students will be performing in kapa haka uniform while we ask that our Year 3 and 4 students arrive in school uniform for their performance. We're aiming to get enough uniforms ready by the end of year premier performance for all our students to perform at once. Students performing in uniform will bring their uniform home with them before the performance next week. If you are unable to attend, please let your child know so that we don't allocate them a uniform.

To help manage the job please could you wash and return your kapa haka uniform (not the boys piupiu) by Friday?

Ngā mihi We look forward to seeing you there Daniel Caigou
