Next term our Y6 leaders are going to be busy around the school working on their leadership projects for the year.

House Captains
There will be 2 house events in T3 - A skip off competition and a cantamaths competition.

Active Council

There will be a student organising sports tournament style event.

Creative Council

'Somerfield's Got Talent' will be happening this term.

Eco Council

There will be a chicken coop built. The plan and site have been decided.

Media Team

Kids News will be restarting next term and we'd like to have more of a focus on showcasing work that is going on around the school. There will be a 'reporter' assigned to a ropu to showcase the ropu events on Kids News.

Library Council

We have a book week in Week 5 and the library council will be decorating the library for this as well as a dress up day to go along with the theme.

Social Council

There will be a mufti day fundraiser and a free dress up day next term (likely tying in with the book week W5).

Maori Lead Council

This council will be designing a wall display for the hall entrance which explains the significance of the 3 wakas at our school. They will be kaiwahina (helpers) at ropu hui to role model any of the Te Reo the ropu are using as part of their units of work.
