This week, it was great to see the Year 3 students taking on the role of a character from the book 'Herb the Vegetarian Dragon' by Jules Bass.

This week, it was great to see the Year 3 students taking on the role of a character from the book 'Herb the Vegetarian Dragon' by Jules Bass.They enjoyed dressing up as Knights, Townspeople and Kings and Queens from long ago.
In our last session for the term, they planned and carried out a town meeting to decide the fate of the dragons that had been wreaking havoc on the town. Some classes decided to send out a small army of brave Knights to capture the dragons. These Knights were given a special blessing by the Queens of Nogard before they left. Other classes decided to free the Dragons. They opted to supply the Dragons with meat from their farms on condition they stop eating the people of the town. The students really enjoyed the story and they learned how people with different ways of doing things can live alongside each other in peace.
